As a market development manager, you will develop a network of contacts to attract new clients, research new market opportunities, develop excellent relations with key stakeholders. Overall you will be responsible for generating new sales opportunities and achieve sales targets in the defined target areas.**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:- Create and maintain healthy pipeline of sales opportunities and achieve the defined sales targets.- Drive Commercial Excellence for the commercial teams through the deployment of robust business development activities including, weekly sales calls, utilization of customer relationship management (CRM) tools and the conversion of marketing leads to opportunities.- Deeply understands account organizations and has ability to develop trust and valued relationships with major decision makers, clarifies goals and reaches agreement while maintaining the interests of all parties.- Works closely with the Sales team, Field Application Specialists, Service teams and respective Marketing teams.- Join sales calls with the EMEA team and support through technical and business presentations, when required, tradeshows, user meetings, customer seminars and other customer events.- Monitor and share market intelligence including competition; macroeconomics and the regulatory environment.- Leverage global and regional marketing teams to support local sales strategies and markets, including new product introduction (NPI) and deliver on incremental revenue targets for NPI.- Partner with your peers, globally and in the region, to formulate cross-functional strategies- Represent Thermo Fisher Scientific by clearly and consistently communicating Thermo Fisher Scientific mission, vision, values and objectives to end-user customers- Achieve quarterly and annual bookings and new customer targets for the EMEA region.
