The Senior Manufacturing Buyer is a key role responsible for overseeing the procurement and sourcing activities within an organization, specifically for the products that need to be manufactured ad hoc. This position involves developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, including pricing negotiations, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services needed for production for manufactured goods.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESStrategic Procurement Planning: Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with the manufacturing goals and objectives, considering factors such as cost, quality, and supplier reliability.Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and address issues to ensure a reliable supply chain.Cost Management: Implement cost-effective procurement practices, negotiate favorable terms, and monitor market trends to optimize costs while maintaining quality.Contract Management: Draft and manage procurement contracts, ensuring clarity on terms, conditions, and performance expectations.Risk Mitigation: Identify and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain, including potential disruptions and fluctuations in the availability of key materials.Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, project management, quality control, and logistics, to align procurement activities with overall business needs.Performance Metrics: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement efficiency, cost savings, cost vs. budget per project, etc.Internal policies compliance: Knowing, managing and applying the Information systems policy and information security policies implemented in the company. Strictly comply with each and every one of the indications detailed in the following internal policies.SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREDProcurement Expertise: In-depth knowledge of procurement principles, strategic sourcing, and supplier management.Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and agreements with suppliers.Supply Chain Understanding: Comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end supply chain and its impact on manufacturing operations.Analytical Skills: Analytical thinking to evaluate supplier proposals, assess market trends, and make informed procurement decisions.Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to liaise with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION5+ years of experience in procurement buying machined and/or welded metallic parts, with a progression into management or leadership roles within a manufacturing environment.+2 years of team management experience.Fluent in Spanish and/or Catalan.Aritex offers a competitive salary and benefits package and values motivated, team-oriented employees.
