Our market leading Power and Low Carbon Solutions (PLCS) team is looking to hire a Senior Manager to support the growth of our Strategy and Transactions advice in Madrid.
You will be joining our dynamic and growing Power and Low Carbon Solutions practice.
We work with a range of clients from across the energy value chain, including utilities, oil and gas companies, network companies, commodities traders, industrials, and institutional investors, to help them successfully navigate the energy transition.

What you will be doing We are looking to hire an experienced strategy consultant to further expand our presence and drive growth in strategy and transactions engagements in Spain and Portugal.
We seek an individual capable and eager to support the holistic development of the business.
Your key responsibilities will include advising utilities, IPPs, developers, Oil & Gas companies, financial investors, and lenders in strategy engagements.
You will leverage our industry-leading market capabilities and intellectual property, supported by Senior Energy Market Experts.
Additionally, you will support clients on market entry strategies, investment appraisal and growth strategy, portfolio value creation, diversification strategies, and capability development agendas.
You will be a key member of our newly established office in Madrid and part of our global senior leadership team.
You will cover, among other things, the following activities: You will engage with key clients across strategics (utilities and IOCs), independent developers, financial advisors and infra/PE funds, shaping and executing strategy and commercial propositions, e.g.
: Corporate strategy, Deals strategy, Investment or development strategy, Commercial optimization, Route-to-Market and market access.
You will be involved in business development prospects, from building our brand presence and engaging with key clients in the region, to identifying/originating strategy consulting opportunities and writing proposals.
You will be identifying and curating existing and new intellectual property and modeling capabilities that will enable us to provide market-leading investment and strategic advice.
You will take responsibility for investing in the junior team and identifying and filling key capability gaps and recruitment needs.
Your skills and experience We are looking for experienced strategists in the Energy sector within the Iberian Peninsula, specifically in Spain and Portugal, to join our team.
The ideal candidates will have experience in some of the following: Demonstrated background in the clean infrastructure space working as: Strategy consultant or M&A advisor (BIG-4 / Strategy Consulting firms) Corporate development / M&A in energy companies Principal investor in P.E.
/ Infra funds A fundamental understanding of the Power and Low Carbon space and key value drivers.
Awareness of key players, projects, and market drivers globally, but particularly in the Iberian Peninsula.
Experience in assessing value creation across the asset life cycle on renewable and clean infrastructure assets.
Experience in commercial structures, assessing routes to market for power generation assets, and designing business models in energy markets.
Experience track record in building strong business relationships with industry players.
Demonstrate project management, business acumen, analytical capabilities, and excellence in people management and career development.
Excellent communication skills, being able to provide clear recommendations to clients on deal key value drivers, risks, and upsides.
Flexibility and ability to shuffle different priorities within a fast-paced environment.
Essential: advanced (C1) language skills in Spanish and English; and additional languages a plus.
