The Position Centrient maintains its leadership position via a solid understanding of science and continuous process development.
The main technologies of Centrient are based on biotechnology, fermentation, and enzymatic catalysis, combined with smart chemical processes.
Centrient has multiple programs focusing on improving its processes, making them more sustainable and efficient.
The senior manager ensures that in-house and external resources are available and managed efficiently to execute these programs.
Main Activities and Responsibilities Ensure global availability of the right S&PT resources to execute on ambitious plans.
Set up long-term relations with CROs and organize development of internal resources.
Manage global development and improvement projects collaborating with and coordinating internal scientific, technical teams and CROs/CMOs.
Manage Program/Project management process (PMP) for S&PT department.
Arrange for Technology protection in Centrient API business.
Work very closely with other corporate functions focusing on Manufacturing excellence, delivering on an integrated improvement agenda.
Provide support for Centrient's inorganic growth activities, including Due Diligence.
Qualifications Master or PhD in relevant scientific field (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, pharmaceutical technology, etc.)
with > 10 years of experience.
Experience in working with and managing global teams.
Ideally combined with MBA or training in business/operational finance.
Proven track record in Project Management, ideally with PMP certification.
Have the relevant technological background to support and challenge the experts but be all-round enough to keep the high-level overview.
Fluency in English; Chinese, Spanish, or Dutch as a second or third language is regarded as a benefit.
Demonstrated good reporting skills.
Working experience in the following areas: Fermentation/bioprocess technology, International projects (China/India), Consultancy, Project management.
