We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, passionate finance professional to support the delivery of finance asset management services to one of our most important clients in multiple international jurisdictions. We are looking for someone who enjoys working in fast-paced and complex work environments and has proven track records of managing all finance operations (administration, financial controlling, taxes, EBITDA and process improvements) in Spain.The role will be a key member of the team who can build and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The role will be expected to be part of the team to set up the finance function in Spain and lead the finance operations in Portugal (oversight of outsourced accountants) where you will have full responsibility and ownership. You may also be expected to manage the finance operations for other regions as required either as a lead or supporting role.We manage a fast-growing fund and as scale increases, various ad-hoc workstreams will be expected for the business, frequently more than the "business-as-usual" activities. As such, effective time management, critical thinking, and the ability to solve problems are crucial. There is an expectation of consistency and accuracy of outputs, as well as delivering and maintaining a high degree of customer service (internal and external). In view of this, you will be expected to appropriately flag issues and support their resolution through to the end and proactively drive continuous improvement.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESFinancial reporting: Full ownership of all accounting records. There would be an individual/team (internal or external) that manages the daily entries, but in absence of this (due to leave or onboarding), you will be expected to pick up the workstream.Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.Manage and analyze financial statements.Ownership of entities on Netsuite accounting system.Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely year-end audit.Lead and manage periodic (monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc) financial reporting for SPVs and Holding companies.Lead and manage deliverables as required by lenders and investors.Adhere to deadlines set by all stakeholders ensuring deliverables are delivered on a timely basis.Taxes: Manage all tax compliance filings (VAT, WHT, annual corporation tax, etc.). Analyze tax issues and make suitable recommendations. Analyze tax saving opportunities at all stages of our portfolio companies (onboarding, operation, disposal). Manage relationship with tax advisors and lawyers to enforce business decisions whether it is tax, compliance or non-tax related.Treasury: Full ownership of end-to-end payment process - invoice review and approval processes. Cash management activities - forecast and distribution projections. Working closely with other teams and individually to analyze and execute hedging, foreign exchange reserves.Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with other functions within the Group. Liaison with and oversight of client appointed service providers (auditors, administrators, tax advisors, company, and other market specific providers).
