Project: Responsible for coordinating the activities en España Engineering Department, directly reporting to the Operations Director. These activities include Facilities Maintenance, Equipment reliability as well as implementation of TPM Operating Systems and Procedures, Optimizing equipment reliability and cost performance.Responsibilities: First and foremost, it is the responsibility of the incumbent to perform any and all tasks in a safe manner, keeping safety in mind on the job at all times. It is expected that the incumbent will not only practice safety on the job, but will be responsible for the safety of others working in the manufacturing floor, warehouse as well as support areas. Ensure contractors are trained on contractor safety policy.Leads maintenance department providing vision, goals, coaching, and priorities, ensuring that safety, quality, customer service, and cost goals for the engineering and reliability function are successfully achieved.Responsible for facility maintenance, ensuring optimal operation of all ancillary and peripheral systems in the plant with the implementation of a facility maintenance program; coordinates the implementation of the necessary contracts with suppliers to provide preventive maintenance to the auxiliary facility equipment as well as complimentary services to the facility.Establishes and manages the master maintenance program designed to provide optimum reliability to the operation of our manufacturing and ancillary systems, with the use of Computerized maintenance programs, creating a record to track performance of all critical machine components to formalize a robust predictive and preventive maintenance.Develops annual budget, tracks spending, and ensures financial targets are achieved, consistently seeking alternatives to control and reduce spending.Within a framework of excellence in engineering, develops and executes hiring and training programs to ensure the correct performance of its personnel in meeting operational support requirements.Creatively promotes and generates improvement ideas, developing funding strategies that enable optimizing equipment functioning. Implements TPM as an operating basis for the operation of the department as well as extension towards shop floor implementation of PM routines.Leads the implementation of standard engineering and maintenance systems, processes, and procedures in his functional area, promoting an environment of excellence in the function of reliability engineering [predictive/preventive maintenance] as well as in each and every practice of his department.Responsible for plant facility and ancillary services such as conveyor belt program as well as die cleaning. Maintains stockroom to support operational needs while managing inventory and spending to target. Ensures site compliance with all local and federal regulations such as air permit, waste water, storm water, spill prevention, and others as required.Work Experience: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field in a scientific/technical discipline preferred (Automation, Mechanics, Electronics or similar).Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably within a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team of maintenance technicians.Experience in design and maintenance of complex manufacturing equipment.Demonstrated ability to problem solve and troubleshoot technical issues/equipment.Demonstrated sense of urgency when carrying out critical tasks.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in budget management and cost control measures.Propensity for paying close attention to details.Multi-disciplinary technical knowledge.Fluency in Spanish and English.
