We are looking for you to continue and expand this success story together.The Litigation Counsel Iberia will be a part of Tesla's EMEA legal team working on litigation matters in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, ranging from commercial contracts, consumer protection, and regulatory matters and related litigation. The focus for this role will be on litigation work on the Iberian Peninsula, that is Spain and Portugal. You will specifically support in legal matters related to the Iberian service and sales business within Tesla and handle litigation matters with a focus on consumer protection laws, regulatory issues, as well as other product-related issues.The role is based in Spain or Portugal, preferably the Madrid or Lisbon area, but candidates from other areas are also strongly encouraged to apply.Responsibilities:Drafting correspondence relating to legal issues and assisting and liaising with local teams with negotiations and correspondence from a litigation perspective.Maintain a database for boilerplate arguments in recurring legal issues.Advise internal stakeholders regarding legal risks and obligations in disputes and litigation matters.Represent Tesla in out of court negotiations and draft written agreements for B2C and B2B disputes and litigation matters and report to senior members of the legal team.Represent Tesla in lower court proceedings in Spain and/or Portugal.Maintain a database of all material litigation/claims matters in EMEA, specifically the Iberia region.Provide ad hoc advice, for example on regulatory matters, marketing, and real estate contracts. Manage outside counsel where applicable.Qualifications:You are a Spanish and/or Portuguese qualified lawyer, with relevant experience at a law firm and/or in-house corporate international environment, ideally with a background in statutory warranty and consumer protection laws, with exceptional ability to handle complex litigation.You are a team player with the ability to proactively identify problems, drive projects, and execute pragmatic/creative legal and business solutions on a timely basis.You inspire trust, forge relationships quickly with key stakeholders at all levels, and earn the confidence and cooperation of your business partners.You work well both autonomously and collaboratively, and are effective at juggling and prioritizing competing tasks in a fast-paced, challenging environment
