The Senior License Compliance Sales Specialist (LCSS) is responsible for identifying and developing revenue opportunities to generate business in a geographical territory through License Compliance (LC) cases.
The LCSS guides the sales team and channel partners through the license compliance process and conducts direct commercial negotiations with CxOs and VPs, including closing and securing a purchase order.
This role requires strong sales and interpersonal skills and working with a large cross-functional team across legal, sales, channels, external legal counsels, third-party auditors, and LC service providers.
We will only consider candidates that have direct negotiation and closing experience as Sales Representatives or License Compliance Sales Representatives (Specialists).
RESPONSIBILITIES Recover revenue lost to unauthorized license use. The LCSS is responsible for supporting the protection and enforcement of the company's Intellectual Property Rights and managing a sales territory to recover revenue lost to unauthorized license use. Negotiate, close, and secure purchase orders for large License Compliance settlements. The LCSS will negotiate large copyright infringements (antipiracy) and license reviews (software audits) directly with senior managers and executives. Build a cross-functional team. The LCSS will manage cases working closely with field sales, channel partners, internal legal team, external legal counsel, third-party audit firms, and law enforcement agencies to negotiate a commercial resolution. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education and Years of Experience: Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of work experience in a Sales or License Compliance role with a multi-national software company. Demonstrated sales and closing, interpersonal and negotiation skills. Fluent in English and the local language of the territory. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Demonstrated integrity and confidentiality. Ability to foster teamwork.
