About You: As the Senior Legal Counsel - Western Europe you will provide commercially astute strategic advice, delivering legal excellence to the accomplishment of the objectives of the Kimberly-Clark Consumer organization in Western Europe. You will also ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You will report to the Deputy Chief Counsel EMEA and will be an individual contributor (no direct reports).
YOUR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
As Member of the Western Europe Leadership Team, being a trusted business partner to business leaders and a coordinator of marketing and advertising support.Developing and executing a legal strategy for the geography, with clear priorities and committed targets.Developing and executing an encompassing compliance plan and program for the geography.Supporting the ambitious growth targets of the business through organic and external growth.Legal excellence in contract law, M&A, antitrust, anticorruption (FCPA and equivalent), corporate matters, corporate governance, litigation, IP, regulatory (including EHS), data privacy.Developing and implementing a strategic process for and use of outside counsel in the Western Europe cluster.Leadership in regulatory investigations, legal disputes and claims.Supporting the Vice President & Managing Director of Western Europe and other members of leadership teams such as Finance, Sales, Regional marketing.WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
LL.B Degree or equivalent qualification to practice law.Previous significant experience ideally within an international FMCG company or law firm.Superior knowledge of contract law, M&A, antitrust, anticorruption, corporate matters and governance, IP, regulatory (incl. EHS), permitting and marketing/advertising laws including claims, data privacy.Commercial awareness/acumen and able to think outside the box: ability to provide strategic commercially focused advice.Excellent communication & interpersonal skills, culturally sensitive and with ability to flex style and approach depending on Jurisdiction and issue.Integrity - must lead by example and willing to take unpopular decisions if necessary.Fluency in English and one or two European languages, preferred Italian/Spanish/French.Prepared to travel to Kimberly-Clark's operations in Western Europe and global HQ.We Offer: Please submit your CV in English as it will be considered by English speakers.
