Reporting to the Legal Director, EMEA, he or she, individually and in collaboration with colleagues, other functional colleagues, and external counsel at a regional level, will provide responsive legal advice and support for transactional work. This position will be part of a global legal team and have the chance to work across geographies, in a very dynamic and collaborative work environment, with great potential for personal and professional development. He or she must have a practical, business-oriented approach to identifying and effectively managing risks and solving business/legal problems. He or she will be part of a larger Legal, Governance, Compliance & Audit organization that promotes and supports business being done within a culture of ethics and compliance. #LI-HS1 Responsibilities Autonomously complete and lead routine legal work, including but not limited to contract review, commercial and corporate law consults, as well as the negotiation and assistance in matters related to EMEA strategies, transactions, and operations. Independently advise the business on the legal and other risks arising out of policy decisions and current organization practices. Under the supervision of the Legal Director, EMEA, lead and support high complexity legal work. Support the execution of EMEA strategies, with a keen understanding of the business' priorities. Be responsible for the corporate housekeeping of all legal entities handled in EMEA. Support and coordinate the execution of any corporate restructuring in EMEA. Review corporate documents and liaise with outside counsel on corporate matters. Autonomously supervise and support the EMEA Legal Department as to the formalization, review, signature and recordkeeping of corporate documents, powers of attorney and contracts. Support the EMEA business teams with all and any requests related to powers of attorney and required formalities. Under the supervision of the Legal Director, EMEA, act as a liaison between internal CHS business teams and external legal service providers in the matters under their responsibility. Work with functional colleagues in the Legal, Governance, Compliance & Audit department to strengthen departmental collaboration, including but not limited to sharing best practices. Provide proactive and strategic advice on areas of developing legal risks in the external business and legal or regulatory environment. Support the Senior Legal Counsel, EMEA and the Litigation colleagues at the Global Legal & Compliance Team with the conduction and management of claims and litigation in EMEA Support the EMEA Legal Department Administrative Assistant to ensure processes are set for efficient internal billing, including invoice review of the matters under its responsibility Champion and promote a strong compliance culture, follow all compliance policies, procedures and regulations. Minimum Qualifications (required) Authorized to live and work, and admitted to practice law, in Spain or Romania. Specialization or post-graduate degree is appreciated. Minimum eight years experience as an in-house attorney in multinational company. Extensive track record on advising in corporate, contractual and commercial matters. Excellent communication, negotiation, and drafting skills. Collaborative and influential leadership style. Strategic, growth-oriented mindset; comfort with ambiguity and an ability to lead in a high-change environment. High integrity and compliance-focused. Highly effective written and verbal communications skills; ability to communicate and relate at all levels of the organization; ability to define and enforce standards where necessary in a persuasive and winning manner.
