.Senior Legal Counsel - Insurance sectorParis, FrancePresentation of the context:You will be working within a legal team that provides support for the activities of AXA XL France on a wide range of legal matters (both French and international).DISCOVER your opportunityWhat will your essential responsibilities include?* Be the point of contact and work as a true "Business Partner" for several underwriting departments; * Propose to underwriters, Middle office and risk consultants, solutions that comply with applicable law and are adapted to the needs of AXA XL's clients and partners; * Independently manage various projects and deadlines; * Provide assistance to AXA XL teams on complex legal issues; * Provide support to AXAXL's international transversal teams (Underwriting Delegation Governance; Claims Delegation Governance, etc.); * Review and validate various technical contractual documents (confidentiality agreements, mandates, co-reinsurance agreements, brokerage protocols, commercial contracts, etc.); * Support at the local level, the action of the APAC Europe / Global Legal team.* Act as a technical expert and provide support to the junior members of the team; * Support the Senior Legal Counsel for France in dealing with various complex projects/requests; * Support the Senior Legal Counsel for France on regulatory related matters in relation to supervisory requirements imposed by ACPR and other foreign regulators relevant to the Group's operations; * Contribute to monitor legal and regulatory developments, with a specific focus on insurance and insurance distribution rules, contract and commercial law, financial crime regulation, and others that may be relevant to the XLIVSE French branch and their clients' business; * Participate in the training of the company's underwriters, underwriting assistants, CDLs and claims handlers; * Monitor legal activities provided by external counsels; ReportingReporting to the Senior Legal Counsel for FranceSHARE your talentWe're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:* 8 - 10 years of professional experience as a Lawyer, either inhouse or in private practice* Master's degree in private Law, preferably insurance law; * Specialized in insurance law (including global programs expertise), and related litigations* French mother tongue, proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is essential - another language of the region would be a plus* Organizational skills and ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment with rapidly changing needs and priorities.* Proactivity, ability to work independently, and aptitude for collaboration within a multidisciplinary and multicultural team.* Rapid comprehension, as well as analytical, conceptual and creative thinking* Intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and pedagogy.* Open-mindedness.* Team spirit.* Strong analytical and synthesis skills
