About the role : We seek a dedicated senior legal counsel to join our dynamic team in Madrid reporting to the Global Head of Legal.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation (civil/commercial and/or administrative), in a top-tier law firm or big4.
Your key responsibilities : Working on a diverse portfolio of contentious regulatory issues and pre-litigation/litigation cases across multiple jurisdictions, from consumer claims and commercial litigation to administrative proceedings.
Managing external legal counsel Coordinating and supervising junior members of the team Developing case strategy in partnership with business units Drafting, reviewing, and approving submissions and representations, regulatory correspondence, preparing court documents, and attending hearings Keeping internal stakeholders updated on the status of contentious matters What qualifications you'll need: Excellent academic credentials from a European university Admitted to practice Law in the relevant bar association 5 years of experience as a private-practice lawyer at a top law firm or big4 in the dispute resolution or public law area Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and drafting skills An interest in working in a fast-paced environment Logical thinking and the ability to make decisions under tight deadlines Flexibility and enthusiasm, and the willingness to roll up your sleeves and take responsibility for resolving issues Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects at once Fluency in English Nice to have: In-house experience Fluency in Italian or Portuguese Why idealista?
