WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING As a Senior IT Project Management (Benelux), you will be responsible for managing the local IT function end-to-end (including local implementation of projects and BAU operation of IT systems) and ensuring collaboration with global IT.
You will provide technology vision and leadership in the development and implementation of all information technology needs, as well as lead a small team of IT Systems Managers and developers based mainly in The Netherlands.
In line with Santander Group IT strategies, you will lead Santander Consumer Benelux in planning and implementing enterprise information systems to support company-wide efforts related to all business processes and achieve an effective and cost beneficial enterprise-wide IT framework.
We need someone like you to help us in different fronts:
Actively contribute to the development of the Global IT strategy and strategic plan; define the local IT strategy and strategic plans (including local adaptations to global architecture frameworks, policies, global components and services) ensuring Business proximity; ensure alignment with approved Global IT Strategy.Manage Local IT budget and IT assets (including acquisition and disposal of assets); work together with Group to develop the Global IT Budget (including Subsidiary allocations for approved global projects).Develop, secure approval for, and ensure the delivery and implementation of the Local systems plan (including projects for systems and technology infrastructures, as well as all projects impacting IT) as per agreed scope, cost and timelines; also ensure appropriate financial oversight, tracking and benefits realization for approved projects.Develop and implement the Local IT resourcing strategy and ensure sufficient IT capacity to deliver Systems Plan; oversee vendor relationships (including SLA management) for approved global/local vendors and shared services.Manage and maintain Local IT systems and technology infrastructures to ensure integrity, availability, quality and cost-efficiency (including operational transaction services and support service for customers and shareholders); manage technological and operational risk, ensuring compliance with Audit/Risk requirements.Identify, assess and prioritize removal of IT challenges for business on an ongoing basis and evolve the Local IT landscape towards best practice (consistent with approved global/local IT frameworks, standards and policies).Contribute to the development of technical expertise in key IT areas across Santander, through approved Global Centres of Excellence; develop local team capabilities; collaborate with other Local Units and Group, promote sharing and reuse through Local/Global Design Authorities and collaboration forums on different topics.Ensure agreed KPI reporting for local governance and for Group, enabling the Group to carry out its oversight responsibilities.EXPERIENCE 15+ years of executive IT leadership in large, complex organizations.
EDUCATION Technical Engineering or Bachelor´s Degree in Computer Sciences, Telecommunications, Business Administration or a related field or equivalent experience.
A Master's degree in IT, Business Administration, or related field is highly desirable.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE Experience in implementation, delivery, software transformation or infrastructure projects.Experience of executive IT leadership in large, complex organizations, and a thorough understanding of technology platforms.
Results oriented individual with a demonstrated capacity to articulate a vision, engineer solutions, lead project teams, and manage programs, personnel, and budgets is essential.Strong understanding of computer networking concepts.Strong knowledge of hardware concepts and component installation.Deep background in strategic planning, consensus building, organizational leadership and budgeting.Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to multi-task, to work collaboratively with the business project leads and to coordinate activities and achieve deliverables.English (high level), Dutch (desired).OTHER INFORMATION Availability to travel (The position is 50% in Spain and 50% in the Netherlands).
