As an Investment Accounting Expert, Associate Director, you will be part of a global Change Delivery team implementing changes related to our core system in a standardized and efficient way. You will provide accounting expertise to the project team for changes related to accounting treatment, valuation, and processes. You will also be part of the Accounting community providing operational best practices, procedures, and guidelines about all Investment Accounting related matters.
You will be part of the Change Delivery Service team within Investment Solutions (Investment Admin & Accounting function). The team is responsible for the delivery of all changes related to IAA core systems and works in a self-organized approach.
Your role
As an Associate Director Investment Accounting Expert, your main responsibilities will involve:
Acting as the Investment Accounting expert in the Change Delivery team, providing input, insights, and expertise related to accounting changes.
Acting as the liaison between the project team and BAU experts for specific topic expertise.
Analyzing changes from Group stakeholders impacting financial statements (CoA, measurement, disclosure, reporting).
Ensuring smooth handover and transition of new procedures to the business as usual in the Servicing team.
Considering industry standards and technology solutions to minimize impacts from an end-user perspective.
Reviewing and approving process changes, leading communication to drive change, and overseeing adaptation across all delivery teams.
Promoting and training the Accounting community.
Driving standardization and automation where feasible, measuring progress and performance by KPIs.
Developing and maintaining functional training and documentation standards for onboarding new staff.
Deputizing other SME functions on operational duties such as transaction processing and reconciliation.
Your Skills and Experience
As an Associate Director Investment Accounting Expert, your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
Master's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or equivalent postgraduate studies (e.g., CFA, CPA, CMA, ACCA).
Over 5 years of experience in investment accounting or audit in a senior role.
Experience with Financial Statements and data preparation including result analysis.
Knowledge of Subledger & General ledger systems/processes (SAP FAM would be an advantage).
Familiarity with financial instruments accounting standards (e.g., IFRS9 or similar).
Understanding of Financial markets, products, risks, and regulations.
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Result-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.
Analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
Experience managing or leading mid-size projects in Financial or Investment Accounting.
Fluent English in written and oral communication.
Good understanding of financial mathematics.
IT affinity is a plus.
Conceptual working and process design skills.
