Detalles del empleo Tipo de empleo: Jornada completa Ubicación: Madrid, Madrid provincia Descripción completa del empleo: Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior H.O Construction Engineer with extensive experience in the Oil, Gas and Petrochemical industry.
The candidate will be highly motivated, able to work independently, and have demonstrable leadership qualities.
Responsibilities: Act as constructability sponsor at Projects level.
Provide construction-oriented inputs to the project throughout the engineering phase.
Provide guidance in the definition of the project construction strategy, execution planning and subcontracting strategy.
Provide guidance during the definition of modularization strategy and the development of modules engineering.
Prepare project specific procedures on construction execution, construction quality control and material management, as necessary to meet Projects requirements.
Define construction execution, construction quality control, and material management requirements - and other technical documentation as necessary to meet Project requirements - to be included in the tendering documentation for the execution of construction works.
Prepare the scope of work description for heavy lifting works, and heavy/out of gage transport works.
Prepare for approval plans, drawings, specifications, requisitions and bid summaries for all temporary construction facilities and site enabling works to support the Project.
Lead the technical assessment and selection of construction contractors.
Liaise, provide assistance and support to site teams, involving other departments as necessary.
Coordinate remotely early activities of construction contractors; coordinate activities of heavy/out of gage transport contractors.
Assess construction priorities and installation sequences, identifying bottlenecks and proactively proposing resolutive execution strategies.
Act as focal point towards Clients, site teams, and construction contractors on construction engineering matters.
Execute feasibility studies for the execution of critical lifting and critical transport activities.
Review of method of statement, procedures and detailed drawings provided by construction contractors.
Support the definition of construction schedule.
Maintain the necessary records to ensure quality assurance requirements are met.
Qualifications: Engineering degree.
Fully proficient in English.
5-10 years of experience in the execution of EPC projects, including at least 3 years of site experience.
Experience in Modules Fabrication and Transport project.
Good interpersonal skills with sound written and oral communication skills.
Intermediate to high level office computing.
Ability to communicate in an articulate manner with international clients, and construction contractors.
Highly motivated, well organized, resourceful, and proactive.
Flexible approach and able to work under pressure with a "can-do" attitude.
