OneChain is growing rapidly and is about to expand to a new laboratory in the Barcelona Scientific Park (PCB).JOB DESCRIPTIONJob Title: Senior Grants and Project ManagerRole and responsibilities: We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Grants and Project Manager to manage the complete grant process with a background in pre- and post-award management within the life sciences sector. This role will involve overseeing awarded grants to ensure proper compliance and successful project execution, project management, identifying funding opportunities, and coordinating the submission of proposals. This is a senior and important role within our company, where you will be working closely with the senior leadership and R&D teams.Pre-award: Proactively identify and evaluate new grant options from public and private sources together with the leadership team at the National or International level.Post-award: Project management of post-award activities including managing and monitoring grant budgets (including personnel expenses and timesheets) and ensuring that milestones and deliverables are met. Ensuring compliance with grant requirements, policies, and regulations. Coordinate the writing and timely submission of deliverables requested, including technical justifications with the relevant research teams. Prepare reports for the team, Board of Directors, and key stakeholders.Scientific Support and Project Management: Project management of the various grant-funded projects to ensure tasks and deliverables are achieved on time and on budget. Follow up with Project Leaders to review individual project chronograms and propose corrective measures as needed. To strategically think of best ways to manage grants and projects, optimizing resources.Qualifications required: Scientific background in life sciences, with a Bachelor's degree as a minimum. A PhD is preferred, and other postgraduate qualifications will be considered a plus.Experience required: Absolute minimum of 5 years' experience in a grants management role within a university, research institution, pharma or biotech, in a life science focused environment. Specific experience managing EIC and/or other Horizon Europe grants is required. Project management experience. Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Key Competencies: Languages: Fluent in Spanish and English as a minimum. Experience working in organizations managing multiple projects and sources of funding. Enjoy working with people and the ability to bring teams together behind a common goal. Passionate about delivering better treatments for patients in need.Salary: Highly competitive salary plus bonus, based on qualifications and experience.Conditions: Open-ended, full-time contract.
