Specializing in the marine environment, Tecnoambiente has a proven track record of delivering a wide range of solutions in offshore, coastal, and onshore projects in Europe, Africa, Asia, and South & Central America.We are looking for a Senior Geophysical Surveyor to join our Marine Survey department at our delegation in Cerdanyola del Vallès (Barcelona). The ideal candidate will be eager to assume significant responsibility and take ownership of their role, gaining firsthand exposure both internally and externally. They will also play a key role in training and developing our junior team members and have the potential to progress into project management in the mid-term.The rolePlan and coordinate offshore geophysical survey operations, including route planning, equipment selection, and personnel allocation.Lead and supervise survey crews during offshore operations, ensuring that all activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications.Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices for health, safety, and environmental protection.Execute Survey Manager or Party Chief role in field surveys if necessary.Oversee the deployment and operation of geophysical survey equipment (MBES, SSS, SBP, magnetometers, etc.).Provide regular updates on survey progress, results, and any potential issues or challenges.Prepare comprehensive survey reports, maps, and charts summarizing survey findings and interpretations.Geophysical Team leader.Supervision of acquisition, processing, and interpretation of geophysical (hydrographic) data.QA/QC support.Ensure compliance with highest HSEQ standards, work closely with the QHSE team to identify hazards and corresponding mitigation action plan.Conduct pre-survey briefings with survey crews to review project objectives, survey procedures, safety protocols, and environmental considerations.Availability to travel (50%).The personBachelor's degree in Marine Science, Geology, Topography, or a related field.Master's degree in Marine Geophysics or a closely related discipline.Additional Certifications: STCW95 (Standards of Training, Certification, and Watchkeeping for Seafarers), BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training), HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment).Minimum 5 years hands-on involvement in Marine Survey operations across diverse sectors including cables, Oil & Gas, Renewable Energy, etc.Proficiency in UXO surveys, ensuring comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in this specialized area.
