We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Reporting Analyst to join our Data & Business Intelligence team. In this pivotal role, you will lead the evolution of financial reporting within a challenging and dynamic environment. You will play a key role in bridging the gap between finance and BI, with a strong emphasis on SQL-based data analysis, integration, and advanced financial modeling. Your expertise will drive data-driven decision-making across the organization, ensuring that our financial reports serve as the primary and most reliable source of business insights.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Reporting and Analysis: Lead the tracking and analysis of key financial metrics and KPIs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and long-term strategies;
Develop, enhance, and maintain advanced financial dashboards using state-of-the-art BI tools;
Provide deep, data-driven insights into financial performance, trends, and variances, supporting strategic business decisions.
Advanced Data Management and Integration: Leverage your expertise in SQL to ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial data collected from systems;
Design and implement robust data integration processes that consolidate information from multiple sources to create a comprehensive financial view;
Lead the development of data models that support complex financial analysis and reporting.
Performance Measurement and Optimization: Conduct in-depth profitability and cost efficiency analyses to identify key areas for improvement.
Automation and Process Enhancement: Drive the automation of financial processes using SQL, Python, and other tools to increase efficiency and reduce manual errors;
Lead initiatives to continuously improve reporting processes, enhancing speed, accuracy, and scalability.
Advanced Reporting and Visualization: Utilize advanced BI tools like Tableau to create dynamic, interactive reports and dashboards that are easily accessible and insightful for senior management;
Lead efforts to elevate the quality, sophistication, and accessibility of financial reports beyond traditional spreadsheets.
What will help you excel?
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
Extensive experience (7+ years) in SQL, with a proven track record of deriving actionable insights and leading data-driven financial projects in a commercial setting.
Expertise in SQL for complex data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
Proficiency in Python/R for data analysis and automation, with a continuous drive to expand your technical skill set.
Solid experience in statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and advanced financial modeling.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills in English; proficiency in other languages such as German, Spanish, and Italian is a plus.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor junior team members and influence decision-making at the executive level.
