Copenhagen Infrastructure Service Company (CISC) – a company working exclusively for the global fund management company Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), is currently looking for a Senior Financial Controller to join us in Madrid, Spain.The roleYour main responsibility will be daily accounting and controlling activities as well as performing monthly, quarterly and year-end closing for assigned areas of responsibility in accordance with the agreed closing procedures and deadlines. You will facilitate the audit, review and compiling processes, develop our finance setup and be closely engaged in the various workstreams around the asset - a role which will allow you to put your drive, excellent analytical skills and solid stakeholder skills into play.Responsibilities will further consist of:Own audit, review and compiling planning, fieldwork (testing and documentation), and reportingPerform audit procedures and compliance testingMonthly VAT returnsPerforming accounting and controlling activities for assigned areas monthly, quarterly and year-endFinancial reconciliation of accountsCollaboration with external auditorsPrepare workpapers and reconciliations on audit, review, and compilation engagementsPrepare accounting records, detailed audit documentation, memos, reports required by these engagementsDevelop and maintain cooperative working relationships with local project team as well as internal (CISC / CIP) and external stakeholders and contribute to preparation of executive presentationsMain Interfaces / stakeholders:Project CFOSite-based project teamCISC FinanceCIP Finance & Investment TeamsExternal AuditorsThe right candidateIdeally, you have a bachelor's degree in accounting, auditing or alike with 3-5 years of experience at a large consultancy/audit advisory.We look for the following in a candidate:Curious to learn and self-leadingThriving on taking responsibility and displaying high attention to detailsMotivated and able to prioritize assignments/projects and deliver on short deadlinesSolid analytical and problem-solving skillsAdvanced interpersonal skills and positive attitudeMotivated by building best practicesFluency in English, both verbal and writtenThe processPlease apply online as soon as possible as applications will be processed on an ongoing basis.
