Purpose of Job: Works with the Company Controller to ensure that all financial processes run smoothly and provide proper information in a timely, accurate and efficient manner to all Group's stakeholders. Responsible for overseeing the bookkeeping, ensuring the backup documentation and participating actively in the month-end closings. This role requires strong knowledge of financial and accounting flows, as well as an understanding of the legal and economic logic underlying the transactions. A high level of commitment, interpersonal skills, and ethics is essential to succeed.
Key Activities: Supporting the month-end closing process by analyzing the different transactions and their impact on the financial statements and performance of the company.Participation in local and international projects, either within the financial function or across other functions.Providing reconciliation between the Accounting and the subledgers, and proper storage of the supporting documentation.Taking full responsibility and ownership of outcomes and resolving issues independently. This is a support-level expert role, which requires a hands-on mentality and pro-active attitude.Assisting the local team in terms of internal and external compliance for the finance processes and all other processes impacting finance, assessing the economic and legal terms and consequences.Updating and monitoring accounting policy and procedures to enhance the workflow of the department and provide internal control.Supporting the preparation of schedules for external financial audit and examination processes, including assisting with the preparation of audited financial statements, footnotes, and supplemental information.Knowledge and Expertise: Job Knowledge: Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of key responsibilities and keeps abreast of trends and changes in the field.Accountability & Dependability: Demonstrates a high level of ownership and commitment to achieve results. Builds trust with others through credibility and follow-through on commitments.Team Player: Works cooperatively, interfaces effectively; gains confidence and trust of others; recognizes strengths and limitations of self and others; focuses on the performance of others rather than personality.Requirements & Qualifications: Master's degree in Accounting or Finance.High-level knowledge of all accounting functions and related internal controls, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, and inventory.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Eager to learn.Committed to working under pressure and strict deadlines.Team player at all levels of the organization.Business English proficiency.Other languages are welcome.At least 6 years of relevant experience working in Finance Departments with international exposure.Public Accounting Experience is a plus.Availability to travel, if needed.A car or any other valid transport is required to arrive at the workplace.Strong systems knowledge is key: Excel, SAP, BPC, BI, Blackline.
