Your future role? As a Senior Financial Accountant in Sant Celoni, you will maintain accuracy and integrity of financial data in the systems to ensure reporting according to regulations and company requirements. Be the Finance counterpart for OPS and other departments.
Your main responsibilities: General Accounting: Assist Finance Manager with Internal/External reporting and adherence to IFRS principles. Prepare draft reports for fiscal reporting (statutory accounts and Corporation tax computation) for review by the Finance Manager and external auditors, including all periodic tax reporting. Be the contact for External & Internal Audit and other teams. Manage the full periodic/annual VAT cycles, deadlines, payments, and mandatory filings. Support in the annual budget process and activity reporting. Accounts Reconciliations & closing activities: Review balance sheet accounts reconciliation and work with AR, AP & FICO streams. Identify problem areas in processes and work with the relevant teams to create solutions. Manage accruals postings, pensions accounting, recurring entries, and special adjustments. Conduct year-end statutory closing and finalization of financial statements with our auditors. Internal controls over financial accounting and reporting (ICON): Perform regular review of ICON controls. You: Qualified Financial Accountant with 5+ years relevant experience. Fluent in Spanish and English. SAP experience. Knowledge of legislative/regulatory changes, with the ability to work with legal counsel.
