Senior Engineer

Job Title: Senior EngineerLocation: Barcelona, SpainThe Senior Engineer plays a pivotal role in overseeing the operations and maintenance of all critical infrastructure within the data center. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation, maintenance, safety, and efficiency of all systems to meet operational goals and client service level agreements (SLAs).Responsibilities:Lead and manage the engineering team, providing guidance, mentoring, and support.Ensure all engineering systems operate efficiently and meet operational goals.Develop and implement maintenance programs to maximize system reliability.Coordinate with other departments to schedule planned preventative maintenance and repairs.Manage engineering projects from planning through execution and completion.Maintain compliance with safety and environmental regulations and prepare risk assessments.Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.Oversee budgeting and cost control for engineering projects and operations.Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies, contractors, and vendors.Prepare reports and updates for senior management on engineering activities and project status.Ensure a safe working environment for engineers and technicians.Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and meet their engineering needs and requirements.Skills & Experience:Experience in the operation, installation, and maintenance of data center critical equipment, building systems with in-depth technical understanding and knowledge of all HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and control systems (Desirable).Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or demonstrable experience working within a data center environment (Essential).In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, including High Voltage(HV) and Low Voltage (LV) switching, power distribution, UPS systems, and generators (Essential).Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems in a critical infrastructure environment (Desirable).Good verbal and written communication skills in Spanish and English are essential.#J-18808-Ljbffr
