Johnson & Johnson is currently seeking a(n) Senior Engineer, Electrical/Instrumentation to join our MAKE Asset Management Organization located in Wilson, NC.
While this role will ultimately support the site operations located in Wilson, NC, this role will also be required to support the project phase across both design & construction.
For the project design phase, the role will require you to be present with our design teams in the Greater Philadelphia region.
Once the design phase is completed, this role will support the construction and operational start-up of the site.
For this, you will be required to be on site in Wilson, NC.
Based on your current location, the hiring team will work with you to determine travel and relocation arrangements.
In steady state, we expect travel to be less than 10%.
The Senior Engineer, Electrical/Instrumentation is responsible for the upkeep of all electrical and instrumentation systems on site, managing the technical aspects of electrical design that advance organizational strategies.
Key Responsibilities: Own site electrical infrastructure and instrumentation assets (including calibration program), acting as site SME for all operational, maintenance and project related scope.
Manage assigned tasks to actualize scope of work and execution plans for electrical design and engineering projects.
Complete project tasks to the estimated effort and duration and communicate completeness, schedule conflicts, and resource needs to the project manager.
Define front-level scope of technical problems, design conflicts, risks, and testing issues and collaborate with the project team to resolve them.
Attend to and document quality control issues in compliance with organizational production and design standards.
Identify and escalate to management opportunities to improve project planning, reviews, and execution.
Ensure timely and accurate completion of project documentation, including process improvements.
Coach more junior colleagues in techniques, processes, and responsibilities.
Assist in construction, commissioning and qualification of equipment.
Provide electrical and instrumentation technical assistance to maintenance personnel and other departments as required.
Generate, review and revise maintenance documentation as necessary.
Develop the preventive maintenance program for all electrical systems to ensure optimal reliability.
Assist in selecting appropriate electrical and instrument spare parts to maximize equipment availability.
Train and coach maintenance technicians and contractors in electrical concepts, department procedures and techniques, as required.
Assist in the development of multi-skilling training programs for the site technicians.
