We are excited to announce that we have launched our Accounting Advisory Service (CMAA) team in Madrid.
Our team is lead by a highly established Managing Director and is an integrated part of our established and highly successful global TAG practice.
We are currently seeking a Senior Director based in Madrid.
Responsibilities: Provide accounting advisory support to clients including implementation assistance with accounting inquiries or new accounting standards and drafting Accounting Position Papers.
Provide transaction-oriented accounting and reporting assistance for acquisitions, divestitures, complex capital restructures, financial instruments, revenue recognition and others.
Support conversion services to clients requiring a change in their financial reporting to IFRS or US GAAP.
Assist with ESMA, SEC or FCA / other relevant authority regulatory filings for initial public offerings (IPO), spin-offs, carve-outs, debt offerings and other acquisition filings for both domestic and cross-border transactions.
Work closely with our Managing Directors in Spain and globally on business development activities including thought leadership, proposals, pitches and networking.
Develop trusted relationships with key stakeholders in the Spanish and international Capital Markets community through the delivery of value-added client engagements.
Support our Managing Directors to lead and develop the Accounting Advisory Services team including recruitment, mentoring and training team members.
Actively contribute to business development by maintaining a strong professional network, identifying opportunities, proposing AM services, negotiating terms and closing engagements.
Lead cross-functional teams in delivering services to clients and presenting final client deliverables including timely and efficient product delivery.
Lead and participate in practice building including, but not limited to recruitment and training, thought leadership and/or solution development.
The Person: Extensive experience within Accounting Advisory at a leading Accountancy firm (Big Four experience).
Bachelors or Masters degree from an accredited university preferred.
Current knowledge includes IFRS, ESMA, SEC or FCA financial reporting issues.
Broad ranging experience in leading complex Accounting Advisory engagements combined with well-developed stakeholder management skills.
Demonstrated business development skills including fostering a strong professional network, scoping opportunities, leading pursuits and negotiating terms.
Excellent consulting skills: analytical, written and verbal communication, client presence, facilitation and presentation skills.
Extensive experience in project management including planning, organizing, coordinating and managing staff, clients and/or partners towards the successful completion of a project.
Willingness and ability to travel as needed including international travel.
Fluent business level English.
Additional language skills are highly desirable.
