Our architecture is unique, our userbase is constantly growing, and we are preparing for the release of several landmark products and feature updates in the short-term future.We are looking to support this success by hiring a talented, self-motivated DevOps Engineer to build and improve upon the functional systems delivering seamless software solutions to our massive global userbase.About the role: As a Senior DevOps Engineer, MEGA will look to you to build, manage, and optimise our digital infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and automated systems.
You will function as a bridge between stakeholders and developers, working to understand product requirements and translate them into technical specifications; also, you will be required to identify production issues and implement integrations that meet our business and user needs.Reporting to the Systems Administration Lead, your core responsibilities will include:Assessing current development systems, processes, and workflows, seeking to address persistent pain points and bottlenecks by reducing technical debt, efficiently leveraging tools, and automating manual processes wherever possible.Building and implementing new, best-fit development tools and infrastructure with a view to improve efficiency and optimise the developer experience.Interfacing with Engineering, Product, and QA teams to oversee releases and drive project governance decision-making.Drawing from emerging methodology and technologies to ensure that our systems and roadmaps are robust, scalable, and as future-proofed as possible.This role can be performed either remotely within Spain or in-office at our central Salamanca office, with hybrid-remote arrangements available, too.
Please note that we run an asynchronous, hybrid-remote model across the organisation, and you may on occasion be required to work outside of typical office hours as you communicate with colleagues in different time zones.About you: You're an adaptable, self-motivated professional with a real passion for the industry and a keen awareness of the latest trends, technologies, and approaches.
While you excel at working independently, you're also a team player, capable of communicating effectively and sensitively with a diverse group of highly-skilled colleagues.
You take ownership of your work and pursue constant improvement, proactively identifying persistent or potential issues and resolving them.
Also, you have:Had extensive, hands-on experience designing and implementing scalable infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and automated processes using various DevOps tools.Skill in shell scripting and Linux systems administration.Familiarity with DevOps tools including Github, GitLab, Jenkins, etc.Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand company objectives and coordinate your work accordingly.Ideally, a working knowledge of C++ build environments.Ideally, exposure to configuration management, containerisation, and virtualisation tools.Qualifications: Preferably, you hold a tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.What MEGA offers: Along with a flexible working policy, a deliberate culture of internal development, and top-of-the-line tools, you will enjoy a competitive remuneration package.
