Job Title: Senior Design Verification Engineer Location: Madrid, Spain (Onsite) Type of Employment: Permanent Start Date: Immediate Position Summary We are seeking two highly experienced Senior Design Verification Engineers to join our team in Madrid, Spain.
The candidates will contribute to the verification of cutting-edge semiconductor designs and will be responsible for architecting and implementing robust verification environments.
Fluency in both English and Spanish is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities: Testbench Development: Architect and implement testbench environments and their components (driver, scoreboard, monitor, etc.)
from scratch using SystemVerilog and UVM.
Verification Expertise: Perform both IP-level and sub-system/SoC-level verification.
Create and execute comprehensive verification plans.
Develop test cases and ensure 100% functional and code coverage (as appropriate for IP-level vs. SoC-level).
Protocol/Sub-System Verification: Hands-on experience with protocols like PCIe, DDR, and DMA.
Debugging and Issue Resolution: Use simulators/EDA tools such as Xcelium, VCS, and Verdi for debugging and root-cause analysis of failures.
Triage and resolve issues independently with minimal supervision.
Collaboration: Communicate effectively with designers, verification leads, and other stakeholders.
Resolve exceptions and waivers collaboratively with appropriate stakeholders.
Documentation and Bug Tracking: Document verification strategies, plans, and results clearly.
Use bug tracking tools like JIRA or Bugzilla to log and manage issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications: Extensive hands-on experience in SystemVerilog/UVM.
Proven ability to architect and implement testbench environments from scratch.
Strong knowledge of IP and sub-system/SoC-level verification methodologies.
Expertise in PCIe, DDR, and DMA protocols/sub-systems.
Proficiency with simulators/EDA tools (Xcelium, VCS, Verdi, etc.).
Solid understanding of functional and code coverage metrics.
Prior experience using bug tracking systems like JIRA or Bugzilla.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Strong documentation skills to support clear and structured reporting.
Fluency in English and Spanish (mandatory).
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in FPGA-based verification environments.
Knowledge of RTL development for FPGA prototyping.
