Your mission: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for the administration, optimisation, and maintenance of our critical databases, ensuring their security, high availability, and performance.
You will work closely with development teams to support database-related needs and help design and implement fault-tolerant, high-load solutions.
Responsibilities: Administer, optimise, and maintain various relational and non-relational databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, ClickHouse, MongoDB, etc.
Design and develop fault-tolerant, high-load database solutions.
Ensure the security and high availability of all databases by implementing robust backup, replication, and failover strategies.
Manage and resolve database-related incidents, minimising downtime and ensuring quick recovery.
Conduct regular performance tuning and optimisation to identify and resolve bottlenecks in database operations.
Analyse database logs, monitor performance metrics, and diagnose locks, slow queries, and performance issues.
Minimum Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in database administration with hands-on expertise in PostgreSQL.
Strong knowledge of database configuration best practices, including replication, sharding, and clustering.
Strong hands-on experience with running databases in cloud environments, preferably AWS.
Proficient in SQL, with experience in automating routine database operations.
Proven ability to implement robust disaster recovery, high-availability, and backup solutions for databases.
Preferred Qualifications: Hands-on experience with MongoDB, Redis and ClickHouse.
Good understanding of other distributed and NoSQL databases.
Knowledge of virtualisation and containerisation concepts, including experience working with Kubernetes.
Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools like Zabbix and Prometheus for database health and performance tracking.
Experience with Change Data Capturing (CDC) techniques.
Experience working in high-load, large-scale environments requiring fault tolerance and high availability.
It'll also be an advantage if you have experience in: Finance experience or knowledge of Trading.
Knowledge of TradingView.
