Summary: The Data Officer is responsible for governing and utilizing information as an asset through data processing, analysis, data mining, information trading, and other methods. They connect with the broader Amadeus Data Strategy defined by the Amadeus Data Office (ADO) and other DOs in other business units, including alignment with global policies, advocacy for data standards, and facilitating data sharing within Amadeus.
The Data Officer is tasked with driving the Data vision, strategy, and execution for Hospitality in close collaboration with the business and other functions impacted. Key responsibilities include defining governance, overseeing strategic data priorities of the business unit, and advising business units and leaders on which data to store, analyze, and utilize for the business's benefit. Additionally, DO collaborate with cross-functional teams to maximize the value derived from data assets, ensure data reliability and process consistency, particularly in the sales-lead-to-cash process environment, and ensure consistency of the Data strategy initiated by each business entity.
The Data Officer also promotes data literacy within the business unit, encouraging data usage and best practices. They provide reports on data usage and adoption, as well as compliance with Corporate or BU data guidelines.
The Data Officer needs to ensure that the different areas of the business (including corporate functions impacted by the Sales Lead To Cash processes) are appointing data owners and data stewards for all data assets within the business (and those ones impacting the business). They are also responsible for maintaining an up-to-date governance matrix.
Key Responsibilities: Define governance, oversee strategic data priorities, and identify new business opportunities based on existing data.Ensure coordination with broader Amadeus data policies.Collaborate on the implementation of global policies.Promote the creation of data standards.Ensure data reliability and process consistency, particularly in the sales process environment.Coordination Responsibilities: Lead a virtual team, orchestrating appropriate data processes and usage across Hospitality.Drive a shift towards an insight-driven culture.Identify data owners and stewards within the business unit.Manage resources and budget.Provide leadership and direction to team members.Assist, guide, and motivate team members in their assigned functions.The Ideal Candidate: Experience with Data Governance Tools (Collibra, IBM, Microsoft, ...) and frameworks (DAMA). Data management certification (CDMP) a plus.Capability to act as a change agent and enable transformation within the organization.Prior experience and interaction with top-management.Previous exposure to Project Program Management environments.
