ABOUT THE ROLE
LOCATION: Full Remote, max 1/2 hours +/- CET; max 3 hours flight from Milan (WE WILL REJECT ALL CANDIDATES THAT DO NOT FIT THESE REQUIREMENTS)
SALARY RANGE: 53k-58k + BONUS + 8€ MEAL VOUCHERS (Permanent contract)

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics team and help us transform data into insights that will lead teams to take solid and informed business decisions.
What you'll do (but not limited to):
Working closely with our growing BI and Data Science Team, you will develop machine learning systems, implementing ML algorithms and productionizing minimum viable data products created by the DS team. These ML efforts will seek to continuously develop and improve operational efficacy and efficiency at WeRoad, across all aspects of the business. You will stay at the forefront of the AI and ML field, ensuring you are up to date with the latest developments in this rapidly evolving space. Additionally, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of our Business Intelligence infrastructure, based on DBT, Airflow, and Google Cloud Platform.
Specific responsibilities: Study and transform data science prototypesDesign machine learning systemsResearch and implement appropriate ML algorithms and toolsDevelop machine learning applications according to requirementsSelect appropriate datasets and data representation methodsRun machine learning tests and experimentsPerform statistical analysis and fine-tuning using test resultsTrain and retrain systems when necessaryExtend existing ML libraries and frameworksKeep abreast of developments in the field Specific requirements:Proven experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or similar roleUnderstanding of data structures, data modelling and software architectureDeep knowledge of maths, probability, statistics and algorithmsAbility to write robust code in Python and RFamiliarity with machine learning frameworks (like Keras or PyTorch) and libraries (like scikit-learn)Excellent communication skillsAbility to work in a teamOutstanding analytical and problem-solving skillsBSc in Computer Science, Mathematics or similar field; Master's degree is a plus What you'll bring to the table:Taking ownership and responsibility of your work and propose optimal solutions to business requirementsGood knowledge of CDP / CBP (Snowplow, ActionIQ, Tealium, Segment or similar)Good knowledge of Python and SQL (BigQuery, PostgreSQL, MySQL)Good knowledge of git (Github)Experience with Airflow and ETL developmentExperience with Event Streaming and processingExperience with Product Analytics and tracking tools (Google Analytics, Snowplow, etc...)Experience with Google Cloud Platform and BigQueryGood knowledge of Datawarehouse / Data LakesExperience in writing Unit Tests and Integration Tests Bonus points for having:Knowledge of Clean Code, Clean Architecture, DB migrationsKnowledge of Data Governance tools (Datahub, etc.)Knowledge of DockerExperience in scraping data What do we do at WeRoad?
