This is an exciting opportunity for a versatile engineer to work as a Cybersecurity Architect on the Galileo project, the European space flagship programme. Galileo is Europe's Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), providing accurate positioning and timing information. It is funded and owned by the EU, developed by ESA, and managed by EUSPA. CETRA BASE is currently looking for Senior Cybersecurity Engineers to be part of the Galileo Engineering team. The position is based in Madrid (Spain).
Tasks and ResponsibilitiesDefinition of the security architecture of ground segments (control centres and interfaces with stations and other entities), cooperating actively with the other architects within the team (engineering, networks, hardware, software, key management, operations, etc.) and the security officer.Generation and review of security documentation (Design, plans, technical notes...).Close collaboration with the cybersecurity team for the definition of the security model (e.g. operating systems choice, hardening activities, deviations, etc.).Liaison between the cybersecurity team and other technical teams to ensure proper alignment.Contribution to the processes definition, oriented to establish security by design.Identification of potential risks and system threats.Provision of technical support to the segment teams and customers.Interaction with clients (ESA) and subcontractors (within Europe), including attendance to reviews, formal test milestones execution/supervision, etc.Evolution of the security strategy.Essential Qualifications and ExperienceUniversity degree in Engineering, Cybersecurity, Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science.Experience in security architectures of complex IT systems.Experience in secure network designs.Experience in cybersecurity.Experience in risk management.Experience in virtualization architectures.Good English level.DesirableExperience in space projects.Benefits
