Job Description Position Summary: We are looking for a Senior Credit Manager to lead the North American credit and collections function for a dynamic manufacturing organization. This role is key in establishing operational standards for credit risk assessment, approval processes, and customer portfolio analysis, with a focus on supporting sales growth and customer relationship building while controlling credit exposure. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in credit management within the manufacturing sector, along with experience managing a credit team, setting policies, and mitigating customer risk across a diverse and international client base. Compensation and Benefits: Base Salary : $102,400 to $140,700 annually Employment Type : Full-time Benefits : Partial benefits package Relocation Assistance : Possible for the ideal candidate (Hybrid - 3 days in-office, relocation to Denver required) Interview Travel Reimbursement : Yes Key Responsibilities: Credit & Collection Leadership : Oversee North American customer credit and collection functions, establishing high standards for risk assessment, credit approval, and portfolio management. Team Development : Hire, mentor, and develop a credit team of four, ensuring clear communication on priorities, performance expectations, and growth opportunities. Policy & Compliance : Enforce credit policies and ensure compliance with internal controls, regularly communicating these policies to global stakeholders. Financial Analysis & Risk Assessment : Analyze financial statements and other data sources to evaluate customer creditworthiness and identify potential risks. Stakeholder Collaboration : Partner with senior management and business units to assess and approve deviations from standard credit terms. Customer Relations : Visit key customers to resolve credit concerns, strengthen relationships, and optimize service. Reporting & Analysis : Prepare and present monthly metrics and customer status updates for CFO and business leaders. International Support : Advise on international credit risk, export documentation, foreign exchange, credit insurance, and country-specific regulations. Day-to-Day Duties: Manage a credit portfolio, including JM customers and Precious Metal Vendors. Attend and represent the company at credit trade meetings and shows. Authorize credit based on staff recommendations, credit applications, and market risk analysis. Review credit terms, hold/release customer deliveries, and manage delinquent accounts. Maintain and update the Global Credit Policy annually. Contract with collection agencies when necessary and advise on credit-related SAP enhancements. Job Requirement What You Bring: Education & Experience : Bachelors degree in business with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including a Credit Manager role. Certification : NACM Credit Designation preferred. Knowledge : Strong understanding of credit statutes, including liens, bonds, bankruptcy, and the Uniform Commercial Code. Skills : Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills; adept in delegation and team leadership. Experience in Manufacturing : Prior credit management experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on metrics and process improvement. Tools & Systems : Familiarity with SAP and Lock Box for cash application efficiency. Additional Requirements: Travel : Moderate travel (11-29 days/year) is required. Work Environment : Typical office setting, with scheduled remote work days.
