DNV's Renewables Advisory group in SEMELA region (Southern Europe, Middle East & Africa, and Latin America Team) is looking for a Senior PV Module Expert to join our Solar Team. Our region holds substantial market position for technical due diligence, owners engineering, and energy analytics. We support customers in their financing, construction, and operation of solar energy projects.
You will work as Project Manager and/or quality assurance for technically complex assignments (such as bankability studies/failure investigations) in the region, manage technically complex bids on behalf of DNV, supporting us on winning new external projects as well as leading the team for the innovation of the PV module technology services.
Your tasks will include:
Project management of technically complex projects related to PV module and other solar PV technology, bankability studies, and failure investigations. Providing quality assurance support for PV module technology review. Initiating and coordinating technical review process among internal specialists. Support in reviewing module supply agreements, factory acceptance testing, and site acceptance testing for PV modules in Independent Power Producers / Owners' Engineering / Technical Due Diligence projects. Developing and innovating in-house tools and global capabilities for technology review as part of due diligence process. Supporting internal energy assessment teams for PV module technology-related benchmarking, updating and explanation for loss considerations such as LID, degradation, PAN file, etc. Supporting internal measurements teams in their PV module measurements service development. Complex internal/external stakeholder management. Supporting/developing win proposals for scopes of services related to PV module bankability studies, PV module failure investigations, and similar scopes for other critical solar PV technologies too.This position is based in Barcelona, Spain. You will report to Solar Technology and Analytics Team Lead based in Dubai, while collaborating structurally with the regional/functional teams in SEMELA.

Bachelor's degree in engineering.6+ years of experience working in the solar industry with 4+ years in PV module technology design/manufacturing/QAP, etc.Familiarity with solar PV industry technology (modules, inverters, mounting system, balance of system, etc.).Project management and ability to balance multiple projects under tight deadlines.Solution-oriented thinking skills – identifying technical risks and formulating solutions.Fluent in MS Office products.Written and spoken English on at least C1. Spanish would be a plus.It would be beneficial if you have:
Electronics/Electrical Engineer degree.Masters' degree with specialization in PV module technology.Experience in PV module manufacturing and PV module technology advancement is a plus.Experience with failure investigation/root cause analysis and PV module field failures.Understanding of PV module pricing.Innovation and process improvement mindset.Business development experience.Networking skills.
