The projects involve all segments in the electrical sector, from utilities to renewable generation developers and industries of all kinds.If you are thrilled by the changes in electrical systems today, the ongoing technology transformation of the energy sector, have a communicative personality, a problem-solving approach, and are enthusiastic about working in this exciting field, apply now for this opportunity!How you'll make an impactResponsible for the development of advisory projects by the Power Consulting team for System Studies for major electricity sector agents, including distribution, transmission, retailers, and generators, helping them deal with regulatory, economic, and electricity challenges.The projects may involve, among others, supporting utilities to improve their efficiency in operations, evaluating the impact of renewable integration (offshore and onshore) in electrical networks, assessing the introduction of new actors in the electrical ecosystem (E-mobility, H2, industry electrification, and others), or assessing sustainability/efficiency measures to be implemented in electrical systems.Participate in consulting assignments using established standards, methods, and technologies to develop solutions and resolve issues.Assist in building and retaining long-lasting relationships with internal and external customers to support profitable growth and ongoing satisfaction.Work in an environment of international collaboration within the different Power Consulting units and other Hitachi Energy groups.Provide support on business development and marketing/sales tasks: clarify customer inquiries on technical issues, analyze customer feedback, and propose solutions.Identify opportunities for new and repeat consulting business, building an internal and external network for the exchange of information.Engage in project management activities such as planning and scheduling, customer satisfaction, financial and cost management, risk, and opportunity management, ensuring delivery of assignments as per the agreed contract.Live core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.Create added value for customers and the organization, ensuring the successful outcome of transactions, contracts, and proposals, using various sales techniques and negotiating tactics for leading sales activities.Conduct risk and opportunity assessments for various projects, ensuring delivery of assignments as per the agreed contract.Lead in the creation of new process and tool enhancements, following the study of advanced techniques, with a lead to coach and develop subordinate colleagues.Contribute to achieving agreed business financial targets for a technology, business area, or consulting team.Your backgroundMaster's degree in electrical engineering, electrical power systems, or similar is required.
Advanced degrees preferred (Masters, PhD, MBA).More than 8 years of experience in executing power systems studies and knowledge of electrical power systems.
Experience in the design, understanding, and performance of power systems studies with a consulting approach.Experience and knowledge of the electric power industry, market, systems, and equipment.Knowledge in power systems modeling, simulation, and analysis, as well as experience in software simulation tools such as PSS/E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, ETAP, EMTP, PSCAD, RTDS, and the definition of different studies static and dynamics.Experience in analyzing and proposing solutions in areas like Transmission, Renewable, Offshore, Hydrogen, Industry, Sustainability, Energy markets, BESS, FACTS, HVDC, E-mobility, smart city, railway, protections, insulation coordination, and grid code compliance.Power systems expertise, equipment knowledge, and elaboration of proposals on energy policy and regulation design.Management, leadership, and advising of private companies and public agencies in regulation, operation, and strategy in the energy sector at a national and international level.Knowledge in user-defined model development in software tools for power system analysis will be valued using Python, Fortran, DSL, NPL, or similar languages.
Valued competencies in digital solutions like AI, databases, and data analytics.Python scripting will be valued.Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
