Minimum Requirements:B.Sc of Civil Engineering or Architecture, or equivalentProject management, construction or engineering experience with a proven track record of managing both new builds and the enhancement of existing warehouses/logistics buildingsConstruction market experience in one or more EU countriesProject Management experience from design phase through implementation and operationExperience negotiating construction, procurement, and labor contracts in the EUProven track record of management of construction quality systems; having deployed from scratch a system would be a preferred assetFluency in English, both written and spokenThis role can be based at our Madrid or Barcelona corporate offices.

The role will be based in Italy with 50% of time traveling either domestically within the country or to other EMEA countries.Key Job Responsibilities:Oversee construction engineering, planning, and design for Amazon Fulfillment (Distribution) Centers and other expansion projectsProject support on fulfillment network buildings and additional capacity requirements within existing European Fulfillment CentersUndertake construction engineering design and remodel projectsPrepare reports, specifications, technical analysis to fully define design requirements, equipment, and services requiredSurvey facilities, develop and document procedures to audit the facility, provide evaluations and analysis, and recommend solutions to facility infrastructure, safety, and security problemsNegotiate contracts with vendors and present formal documentation for approval when requiredEnsure that contracts are fit for purpose, cost-effective, and incorporate appropriate Service Level AgreementsProvide overall site management, coordination, planning, specification of business proposals, and coordination of subcontractorsFacilitate and team with others on due diligence evaluation of new opportunitiesCoach and guide all project teams (sub-contractors, maintenance engineers, and commissioning engineers) throughout the full project life cycleEnsure that contracted resources deliver work to meet duration and quality targets, addressing and ensuring the correction of under-performance issuesAudit contractors to check that the skills and competences of contract labor are appropriate to needInform contractors of projected changes in resource or work demandEstablish and operate the information systems necessary for effective scheduling and recording of contract workSupport contractors' work and help them to achieve higher performance levelsCoach other team members on best practicesPreferred Qualifications:Experience of Six Sigma and Lean analytical techniquesMRICS / RIBA qualified, or equivalentChartered Engineer or equivalentGerman, French, Polish, or Arabic are considered preferred qualificationsAbility to travel throughout Europe up to 50% of the time #J-18808-Ljbffr
