Senior Construction Manager (MEP Background) – Client-Side, Data Centre Project (Contract) Minimum 8 months Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager with a strong MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) background to join our client-side team on a contract basis, overseeing the construction of a high-profile data centre project in, Spain. This role requires managing the project lifecycle, ensuring quality, budget, and timelines are adhered to.
Key Responsibilities: Act as the client's on-site representative, overseeing the end-to-end construction of the data centre project. Manage MEP systems design, installation, and commissioning, ensuring they meet project specifications and industry standards. Serve as the main point of contact between the client and contractors, ensuring seamless communication and project execution. Monitor construction progress, addressing issues proactively and ensuring milestones are met. Ensure compliance with safety, quality control, and local regulatory requirements throughout the project. Manage relationships with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on the project's status, potential risks, and progress. Drive the project to successful completion within the contract period, ensuring both quality and budget targets are met. Requirements: Proven experience as a client-side Construction Manager, ideally on large-scale data centre or mission-critical infrastructure projects. Strong MEP background, with expertise in managing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in data centre environments. Experience in contract-based roles, with the ability to deliver under tight timelines. Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management. Strong leadership and communication abilities to manage diverse teams and stakeholders. Familiarity with local construction regulations and standards. Spanish language skills are highly desirable for effective collaboration with local teams and contractors. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications in construction management or MEP systems are a plus.
