.Summary: Nijhuis Saur Industries are currently looking for a Senior Construction Manager to join our UK Project team. The Senior Construction Manager will oversee all projects through construction phases. The Nijhuis project scope is for the engineering design, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning of process technology and equipment. The process technology includes mechanical, electrical and control equipment, as well as interfacing with the civil engineering works (provided by others/Client). Key items of technology/process include anaerobic reactors, biogas system, FlooDaf activated sludge basin, secondary clarifier, cooling towers, chemical dosing system, pump pits, pumps and associated pipework/pipe racks, valves, along with electrical power, control and instrumentation systems. Responsibilities include pre-execution planning, coordinating, and communicating with the client, sub-contractors, and other key stakeholders as well as verifying construction packages and management of onsite labour and liaison with onsite client personnel. Job Description: Overall responsibility for the successful implementation of the construction programme, meeting or exceeding client/contractual obligations. Responsible for the execution of contract documents including plans/specifications. In depth knowledge of start-up and commissioning plans, identifying associated resources as required. Review of the proposed design, ensuring design teams produce feasible designs within the required timescales. Experience of coordination between design teams and operational delivery. Support with programme and project controls activities including but not limited to, cost control, change management, schedule control, risk management, and reporting tools. Supervise delivery of the project, identify risks and opportunities and work with key stakeholders to optimise project delivery. Manage and develop the onsite supervisory/engineering team, lead project groups and cross discipline change procedures. Chair weekly meetings onsite to review performance and construction target deadlines, reporting progress and reasons behind any change within Project Review meetings. Lead project meetings with client contractors, onsite personnel, and stakeholders. Monitor the contract progress and make recommendation for payments. Follow and implement a stringent health and safety policy onsite making sure a best-in-class safety environment is adhered to (health and safety policies, regulations, and acts). Confirm construction contractor safety programs are submitted, approved, and followed by all parties involved in the project. Maintain a solid working relationship with the client. Management of construction budgets. Develop and implement a plan for project completion and turnover
