What We Need: Global Services, 2K's worldwide centralized services group, is a diverse group of teams offering varied services from locations all over the world. Our Global Services 2K Valencia studio is seeking a Senior Concept Artist who is ready for the challenge of contributing to several AAA projects. This position is onsite in our studio in Valencia and will require working closely with the Art Director, Leads and Producers within the 2K Valencia team, as well as external art-teams. We're looking for someone who's motivated and passionate about making high quality games. We're constantly challenging ourselves to push the boundaries. Key Responsibilities: Assist Art Direction by providing art and design feedback to both, internal and external teams, based on high-level execution plans. Work with the Art Department to establish and craft clear style guides that provide clear instructional guides for the art teams to use as resources. Concept, iterate, and produce visual assets for all stages of development. Improve your craft through collaboration and self-guided exploration. Maintain the quality standards for the project(s) and feel confident to develop your own skills and mentor these of the team around you. Proactively report blockers or request feedback. Self-regulate your workload while completing time sensitive requests & resolve any issues that arise. Who Will Be a Great Fit: 4+ years of experience in the video games industry with 2+ shipped titles as a Concept Artist. Ability to create well thought out characters and/or environment designs with the right style that translates well into 3D models. Excellent eye for anatomy, clothing, natural landscapes, hard surface and technology, color, lighting, composition, and overall design skills. Ability to take direction and engage in constructive brainstorming with the team. Good understanding of real time specific art requirements including lighting. Ability to work with industry standard 2D graphics applications like Photoshop. 3D software and/or Unreal knowledge is a plus. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Proactive about troubleshooting and problem solving. Capacity to adapt to a demanding workflow, maintaining quality and consistency while meeting objectives. Can work in a team as well as an individual, being able to communicate well and having a proactive attitude are a must. Fluent English both in speech and in writing.
