Job Title: Senior Commodity Buyer The Senior Commodity Buyer will be responsible for developing and executing the procurement strategies for assigned commodities involving management of supplier relationships, driving cost reductions, ensuring quality and delivery performance, and aligning sourcing strategies with company objectives.
He/She will work closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Customs to meet business goals.
What You Will Do Panel management: Develop and implement supplier panel strategy (including market analysis) and sourcing strategies for assigned commodities.
Supplier Management: Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives (identify cost-saving opportunities), partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate and select the suppliers based on cost, delivery, quality, and innovation capabilities.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks (supply chain, raw material, electronic components, geopolitical issues, financial) by developing contingency plans.
What We Are Looking For Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Business Administration, or Mechanical Engineering.
Between 5-8 years of experience in the field of direct procurement or commodity management, preferably in the automotive industry.
Proficiency in written and spoken Business English; any other language is a plus (e.g., Chinese).
Knowledge of procurement systems, MS Office, and cost analysis tools.
Availability to relocate to Valladolid.
Deep understanding of regional and global market dynamics.
Ability to manage cross-functional teams.
Capable of anticipating risks.
