Senior Clinical Scientist

We are assisting a well-respected pharmaceutical company in Barcelona, Spain, in their search for a Senior Clinical Scientist. This company, known for its innovative approach in the healthcare sector, is seeking a dedicated professional to lead clinical research initiatives, especially in dermatology.The Senior Clinical Scientist will play a key role in advancing the company's clinical research. The successful candidate will lead clinical trials, develop strategies for new therapies, and ensure regulatory compliance.Key Responsibilities:The role will support the Global Clinical Leader / Line Manager in overseeing programs with several clinical studies, addressing various indications, managing programs without established precedents in the targeted indication, and handling challenging programs focusing on safety considerations.Present clinical trial results as required before internal or external committees such as the Research Data Monitoring Committee (RDMC) or Safety Review Committee (SRC).Provide leadership in organizing and facilitating discussions with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and external experts, as well as steering advisory boards and scientific exchange meetings to ensure the development of robust study designs and maximize the value derived from data generation.Collaborate with Global Medical Affairs (GMA), market access, and other relevant departments, either providing support or taking the lead, to ensure comprehensive cross-functional input into study protocols.Lead the scientific review process in potential due diligence when evaluating external opportunities within the External Innovation and Licensing department.Present and defend the conclusions before appropriate committees, such as the Research and Development Steering Committee (RDSC).Be a permanent member of the Project Team.Key Requirements:BA in science, with at least 8 years of experience in clinical development, including experience in Health Authorities consultancies and having contributed to MAA submission to the Health Authorities.Specific Knowledge:In addition to CDS, the Senior CDS can provide appropriate scientific contributions for the complex programs, with several indications or important development challenges, and has appropriate prior experience that leads to a greater degree of autonomy than CDS.#J-18808-Ljbffr
