Senior Casualty Claims SpecialistMadrid, SpainAs Senior Claims Specialist you will work within the Casualty Claims team at AXA XL Iberia, being responsible for the setup, investigation, negotiation, and settlement of all assigned claims, providing high quality customer service and reaching an effective outcome, in the most cost effective and profitable way. Expect to work closely with your manager and fellow Claims Specialists to drive files to resolution, setting and implementing the case strategy and to interact and collaborate with Underwriting and Operations teams. Together, you will be tasked with achieving the best possible outcomes for AXA XL and its clients by resolving and settling claims proactively.What will your essential responsibilities include?Technical claims management: conducting loss investigations on all assigned claims and determine where recoveries can be made working to the agreed standard time and budget constraints.Maintain accountabilities for all assigned claims until settlement/closure is reached.Proactively monitors your claims portfolio to avoid inactivity in the handling process.Provides accurate and timely claims status updates to internal and external customers.Obtaining proper authorisation if settlement value exceeds personal or file authorisation limits.Being responsible for the service requirements of the customer on each claim ensuring that a fair and timely pay-out is achieved.Responsible for maintaining an accurate record of relevant activities relating to the claim in our systems and ensuring that claims procedural and documentation standards are maintained.Liaison and relationship building with internal local and global AXA XL departments, supporting underwriting and sales process.Contribute towards and foster team spirit.This position reports to the Casualty Claims Team Leader, Spain.We're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:Bachelor's degree in Law.Some years of experience in handling casualty claims (specialized knowledge to handle other LoBs claims is also a plus).Fluent Spanish and English.Excellent problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills combined with a strong work ethic.Customer centricity: Place the customer at the centre of all decisions and actions.
