The Consulting and Technical Advisory division of OCA Global provides interdisciplinary technical advisory services aimed at supporting and assisting public administrations, banks and investment funds, project developers, industrial and service companies in their transition towards a better society and economy that are climate change resilient, sustainable, and decarbonized.
Due to our growth, we are looking for a Senior Civil Engineer or Mechanical Engineer .
The candidate will report to the Operations Manager of the Consulting and Engineering Division of OCA Global.
The main functions and responsibilities will be: Functions and Responsibilities: All tasks related to Civil and/or Mechanical Engineering expertise such as conceptual, basic, and detailed engineering development for Power Plants (especially solar PV/CSP, wind, hydro, PtX, Battery Storage (BESS) and other renewable technologies), providing technical support in all project phases: project development, engineering design/review, construction, and commissioning, as part of the owners' engineer and technical advisory team, including the following tasks: Engineering review, including technical revision and approval of the main project design engineering documentation (Owner's Engineering).
Technical Due Diligence and Lender Technical Advisor reports, technology evaluation, Operation & Maintenance, etc.
Technical support to the business development team.
Work location: OCA Global offices in Spain in Madrid (preferably), Barcelona, or Sevilla.
Main work will be developed office-based but some short travel may be requested, on a project-by-project case, to project sites or clients' offices in Europe and worldwide (mainly Africa, Middle East, Central Asia, and Pacific) as the activity of the Business Unit is global.
Education Requirements: MSC in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
MSC in Renewable Energy would be favourably considered.
Professional Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in similar positions.
Experience in EMEA and LATAM regions is a valuable factor.
Languages: English and Spanish: Native or full professional proficiency.
French and/or Arabic would be favourably considered.
Other Personal Competencies: Efficient communication, meeting organization, and reporting.
Proactivity and flexibility.
Results and client needs oriented.
Efficient problem resolution.
Knowledge and experience in the use of commercial software for Civil and/or Mechanical Design.
Level Expert in MS Office package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).

We offer a permanent contract.
Schedule: Monday to Thursday from 08:30 to 18:00, and Friday from 8:30 to 15:00.
Intensive workday in August.
Intensive workday on all days before public holidays.
