Global Non IT Procurement is responsible for the worldwide strategic procurement of services and products for the Allianz Group in the following categories: Professional Services, Marketing and Communication, Facility Management, and Insurance Procurement. As part of the global procurement organization, the local team in Barcelona is currently expanding with experienced buyers to run global projects.
The Senior Buyer focuses on the Marketing and Communication Category. The role will have a strong focus on working closely with the internal marketing teams located in different countries to identify sourcing opportunities to improve outcomes for Allianz key marketing activities.
You will be Managing Global Marketing sub-categories such as call centers and related global suppliers, including contract negotiations and utilizing the SAP ARIBA purchasing tool.Analyzing national, regional, and international procurement markets, benchmarking best practices, and considering total cost of ownership.Identifying cost reduction projects within Marketing through detailed spend analysis.Negotiating favorable terms and conditions with suppliers to create value for stakeholders and ensure compliance with company and industry-specific requirements.Project management, including strategic planning and implementation of tenders, involving various departments and national companies.Managing supplier relationships, contracts, KPIs, and feedback sessions.Collaborating with Allianz Business teams to identify opportunities for performance improvement and cost savings.Developing innovative negotiation methods and advising on purchasing processes and market dynamics.Applying both classic and agile project management methods and conducting strategic spend analysis to optimize sourcing strategies and maximize value for money.Minimum Requirements: Minimum of 5 years of working experience in marketing procurement for an international operating company or in global project management in matrix.Successfully completed master studies in a commercial or technical area; marketing/business studies advantageous.Strong experience on how to engage Allianz Operating Entities (OEs) to collaboratively fulfill Group Procurement and other overarching targets; ability to influence others without authority.Autonomous style of working; collaborative and team-oriented; ability to work under pressure.Experience working in environments with highly complex international teams and proven analytical, strategic, and management skills.Competence to effectively align with different stakeholders and to cooperate with diverse internal and external senior audiences; hands-on approach, involving the necessary skills/functions to successfully accomplish tasks and targets.Excellent communication skills in English; fluent in German is a plus.Team orientation and communication skills.Good understanding of overall procurement processes including procure-to-pay and relevant tools.Good knowledge of MS Office Products, Strategic Procurement Suite Ariba, SAP, or similar.Strong customer orientation.We offer a hybrid work model which recognizes the value of striking a balance between in-person collaboration and remote working, including up to 25 days per year working from abroad.
