WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT The product team Business Accounting & Reporting is a globally acting team, which combines technical and professional expertise around SAP Controlling applications and to a minor volume in non-SAP solutions. As part of the product team, you help our customers to detail their requirements and translate those into best-in-class Solution Designs based on deep business and process knowledge.
RESPONSIBILITIES - Understanding business requirements, processes, and customer needs, adding value to solutions and matching them with existing tools and technologies.
- Collaborating with stakeholders and delivering analysis reports, solution proposals, and project plans.
- Focusing on improving processes and achieving business objectives through effective solution design.
- Advising and supporting the internal business partners (IBP) on complex business process and IT application issues within the process Area of Controlling (Business Accounting & Reporting).
- Conducting IT analysis, (process and/or data) modeling, consulting, and optimization of complex business processes and business models, corresponding with target-group oriented presentation of concepts.
- Executing complex prototyping/configuration and testing of new business solutions based on dedicated BASF business requirements while ensuring high quality.
- Supporting studies in the preliminary stage of projects including evaluation of Third-Party providers.
- Supporting the formulation of complex cost estimates for solution design efforts and for all other relevant project phases as an integral part of the project life cycle planning process.
- Contributing to complex projects including collaboration with internal business partners and external providers.
QUALIFICATIONS Education
- University graduate, majoring in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business IT, Business Economics, Business SCM, or Information Science, or equivalent experience.
Work Experience
- 3 – 4 years' experience in system development (customizing), maintenance, and/or functional support. At least 2 SAP project life cycle implementation experiences are required.
Technical & Professional Knowledge
- At least 3 – 4 years of knowledge and understanding in SAP application 'Controlling', with a focus on Product Cost Controlling (CO-PC), including Actual Costing/Material Ledger and Inventory Valuation is essential.
- SAP S/4 knowledge in SAP application 'Controlling', with a focus on Product Cost Controlling (CO-PC) would increase the chances.
- Basic understanding of more modules out of the Process Area Finance is desirable.
- At least basic business knowledge in the Process Area Finance in general.
- Good to very good command of English (written and spoken).
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure.
- Ability to work largely independently; a high sense of responsibility and commitment are required.
- Conflict management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to support the development of action plans.
