Senior Business Development Specialist Description We are looking for a dynamic Senior Business Development Specialist to join our team at DBU Cummins Spain (Madrid). Travelling: 30-50% within Spain and other regions. Proficient in English. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Responsible for identifying new business opportunities and implementing specific business development initiatives and tactics within a given product segment, market, region, or channel. Collaborates with Marketing and the Business Development Manager and/or Sales Manager to identify attractive market segments, lines of business, or product lines to pursue. Market Analysis: Conducting thorough market research to identify potential clients, market trends, competitors, and opportunities in the power generation sector in Spain. Lead Generation and Prospecting: Identifying and reaching out to potential customers, including utilities, industrial facilities, commercial buildings, and other entities requiring power generation solutions. Solution Customization: Understanding customer needs and requirements and working closely with engineering and technical teams to tailor power generation solutions to meet those needs effectively. Proposal Development: Preparing comprehensive and compelling proposals and presentations outlining Cummins' power generation capabilities, value proposition, and proposed solutions. Negotiation: Leading negotiations with clients on pricing, terms, and conditions to secure profitable contracts while ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with company policies. Market Intelligence: Keeping abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in the power generation sector in Spain to inform strategic decision-making and maintain competitive advantage. Sales Reporting and Forecasting: Providing regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and forecasts to management, including analysis of sales performance against targets and objectives. Customer Relationship Management (CRM): Utilizing CRM tools to track customer interactions, manage leads, and maintain accurate records of sales activities and opportunities. Travel and Networking: Traveling as needed within Spain to meet with clients, attend industry events, and participate in networking activities to expand Cummins' presence and reach in the market. To be successful in this role you will need the following: College, university, or equivalent degree in marketing, sales, technical or a related subject required, or an acceptable combination of education and experience. 7-10 years' experience: Intermediate level of relevant work experience required. Demonstrated Sales Development. Field: Power Generation, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Components, Installations, Control panels, Renewables, Data centers etc. High proficiency in English. Availability to travel. Customer Focus, Communicates Effectively, Managing different stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
