About The Role Boats Group is thrilled to share that we are growing our Analytics team!
We are seeking a highly-motivated individual who will report to the Director of Analytics and Pricing and can function in a fun, collaborative, and high impact environment.
If you don't like being tied to one department and want experience working with all areas of a business, this is the role for you.
This role is key in expanding the company's use and understanding of data across all departments of the business.
This individual will need to manage timely deliverables and prioritise responsibilities using sound judgment to effectively handle and respond to complex situations with minimal supervision.
Being able to analyse data, build models, and communicate the results across the organisation are all key aspects of the role.
This position is focused on bringing best-in-class analytics insights to our European business: In Europe, we operate leading local marketplaces in 6 focus markets (UK, Spain, France, Italy, Germany, Netherlands) across 11 brands.
This position is to be based in our Barcelona office and will be a hybrid schedule with some days in the office and some remote.
This role will report into the Director of Analytics and Pricing based in the Global HQ in the US.
Boats Group cannot offer relocation assistance at this time.
What You'll Do Work with all areas of the organisation to bring data to the forefront of decision making and strategic planning.
This includes, but is not limited to: European Go-To-Market analytics - Identify customers that have the right characteristics to grow ARPA by purchasing more product - Find underserved market opportunities for customer penetration and growth - Develop market insights for top spending customers to assist in ARPA growth - Work with our marketing team on pulling data that is interesting and relevant for the boating industry to release market insights studies European Product analytics - Take US best-in-class analytics and tweak these for applicability across 6 European markets.
- Track performance of our traffic and leads evolution for private and professional sellers - Monitor product performance of existing products to flag underperforming regions or products - Ensure all new products have adequate, complete, and automated tracking as part of launch - Build financial P&L models for new products to score and prioritise new initiatives and features.
Additional Responsibilities - Be a contributor to our product & service value analysis, pricing and predictive analytics capability - Assist in annual pricing discussions and present business and pricing opportunities/improvements that positively impact long-term customer and company revenue growth objectives - Create documentation on data architecture and commonly used tables/queries - Additional duties as required (e.g., ad hoc research and analysis) What You Should Have - Bachelor degree in business, finance, marketing or other related field; MBA preferred - Proven previous experience and success in a Senior Analyst role - Superior analytical and problem solving skills with superb attention to detail: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience with SQL, Google Analytics and Tableau - Ability to work through complex problems and implement effective solutions - Strong desire to learn and great intellectual curiosity - Proven track record for improving process efficiencies and problem solving - Strong business acumen, as well as strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with ability to draw conclusions based on data - High level of professionalism - must thrive on teamwork, overcoming obstacles and gaining shared vision on complex issues - Detail and results oriented; skilled at both planning and hands-on execution - Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills in English.
Any other European language is a plus.
