In this role you will be driving audit data support requests coming our way by understanding the requirements, planning, scoping, executing and providing data solution to our business customers. This team sits within Global Tax Services. The team is seeking an exceptionally capable and motivated individual to help deliver Tax Technology support within Audit team for our Indirect Tax function. This position opening is based in the Barcelona or Bratislava.Ideally we are looking for candidates who has strong data analytical skill along with Tax experience. This role requires a self-starter with strong data analytical skills, a keen attention to detail and good track record of hitting deadlines. Successful candidate will have the ability to tackle multiple requests and efficiently execute deliverables. As part of audit team responsibilities your responsibility would includeSupporting indirect Tax team on Tax audit on daily basisDiving deep into the details to develop meaningful findings and provide required dataAnalyze and solve problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader contextOwn end to end 'Audit request' case from gathering requirements to solutions ensuring deliverables within the deadlineLearn and understand a broad range of Amazon's data resources and know when, how, and which to useDocumenting processes, data flows etcBuild partnership with Tax, Finance and Accounting customersBASIC QUALIFICATIONSBS degree in Accounting, Business, Data Science, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field or equivalent experienceSubstantial experience as a business analyst, data analyst, statistical analysis, data engineering role within a technology environmentAdvanced proficiency in SQL, Excel as well as any data visualization tools like Tableau or similar BI toolsAdvanced ability to draw insights from data and clearly communicate them to the stakeholders and senior management as requiredProficiency with AlteryxStrong Analytical skills - has ability to start from ambiguous problem statements, identify and access relevant data, make appropriate assumptions, perform insightful analysis and draw conclusion relevant to the business problem.Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical problems in simple plain stories.Excellent writing skills- experience in writing business documents, process flow, building flow-chartAbility to present information professionally & concisely with supporting data.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience within Tax/ Accounting /FinanceFamiliarity with API's, Javascript, pythonKnowledge of data management and modeling fundamentals and data storage principlesAmazon tools for example experience on AWSAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
