Our Opportunity We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our Data Business Intelligence team within the Group Technology Office (GTO).
The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in insurance data projects and a strong understanding of insurance processes.
The candidate should possess deep knowledge of business processes in various lines of business such as Life, Claims, Commercial Insurance, Risk Management, etc.
A technical background will be valued.

Provide an overview of the responsibilities, what is expected what will the candidate have to do As a Senior Business Analyst your main responsibilities will involve Business Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of business requirements and translate them into detailed project specifications.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and document business processes, workflows, and data requirements.
Develop and maintain requirement documentation, including business requirement documents (BRDs) and functional specifications.
Insurance Expertise: Utilize in-depth knowledge of insurance processes, including Life, Claims, Commercial Insurance, and Risk Management, to inform project decisions.
Provide insights and recommendations to optimize business processes and improve data management practices.
Ensure alignment of project outcomes with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Data and Analytics: Work closely with data architects, data engineers, and data scientists to design and implement data solutions.
Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can drive business decisions.
Support the development of data models, data warehouses, and business intelligence tools.
Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with business users, project managers, and IT teams to ensure clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations to gather requirements and provide project updates.
Manage stakeholder expectations and address any concerns or issues that arise.
Technical Proficiency: Leverage technical skills to support data analysis, data modeling, and data integration tasks.
Use tools such as SQL, Excel, and business intelligence platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to analyze and visualize data.
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the successful implementation of technical solutions.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in business analysis and data management.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in data and analytics.
Mentor and support junior business analysts within the team.
Your Skills and Experience As a Senior Business Analyst your skills and qualifications will ideally include: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
Over 5 years of experience in business analysis with a focus on insurance sector.
Strong understanding of insurance processes across various lines of business, including Life, Claims, Commercial Insurance, and Risk Management.
Proven experience in documenting business requirements, process flows, and functional specifications.
Technical proficiency in data analysis, data modeling, and data integration.
Familiarity with SQL, Excel, and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Experience in the insurance or financial services industry is a must.
CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or similar certification is a plus.
