We are seeking a seasoned and visionary Senior Building Management System (BMS) Specialist to support the recruitment, lead and mentor a newly established team. This role requires a dynamic individual with a strong technical foundation in BMS programming, coupled with exceptional leadership skills and business acumen. The successful candidate will spearhead efforts to maintain, enhance, and optimize our global services, ensuring seamless BMS functionality and delivering unparalleled customer experiences.
Key job responsibilities Support, mentor, and inspire fellow BMS Specialists, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.Support the development and execute a comprehensive strategy for maintaining, improving, and expanding our global support services.Design, implement and manage advanced BMS Standard Operating Procedures, Policies, specifications and processes which are scalable across the globe.Maintain and optimise BMS technologies, IoT platforms, and data analytics of the BMS.Monitor and maintain ticket/work order processes and queues while ensuring customer care and quality meet the high bar.Monitor and analyse BMS data to proactively identify and action opportunities for optimization, energy efficiency, and cost savings.Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients, ensuring a customer-centric approach.Provide strategic insights and recommendations to management on BMS trends, improvements, issues, team skillsets, industry best practices, and emerging technologies.Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring successful execution of BMS initiatives.Collaborate closely with WWRE, D&C, Sustainability, RME and other stakeholders to comprehend customer requirements, business objectives, and operational needs.Stay current with industry regulations, standards, and certifications to ensure compliance and best-in-class performance.Drive a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing within the team.Flexible to working shift to ensure the 24/7 BMS support team and BMS customers around the world receive timely and re-assuring support required.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent practical work experience).Extensive experience in BMS programming and automation, within building controls or related field.Strong knowledge and troubleshooting of control signals (VDC, mA) and low voltage power (24-AC/DC).Ability to integrate and remotely troubleshoot multiple communications protocols such as BACnet, LON, Modbus, SNMP to a single platform with normalised data for standard visualisation.Ability to remotely troubleshoot IP communications issues for networks such as Niagara Fox, MQTT, BACnet/IP and SNMP.Deep understanding of HVAC, lighting, security, and other building systems, as well as energy management principles.Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects in a dynamic environment.Proficiency in Japanese, to B1 or B2 level as a minimum.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience with global project management and working with multicultural teams.Proficiency in cloud-based IoT platforms, data analytics, and visualisation tools.Certification in relevant programming languages or BMS systems.Certification with Tridium Niagara and/or Distech Controls.Strong customer relationship management skills.Experience and understanding of facility management and relevant electrical and mechanical aspects of BMS equipment.Proficient in other spoken languages.Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
