We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer. More specifically you will:RequirementsDevelop efficient and scalable microservices.Contribute to defining best practices for backend development.Work independently and contribute significantly to team projects.Test, maintain, and improve software functionality and performance.Document application changes and software updates.Mentor and support the growth of other developers.Required SkillsBSc degree in Computer Science (MSc studies will be highly appreciated).Proven working experience (4+ years) in backend software development on the following stack:PythonWeb frameworks (Flask, FastAPI, or Django)Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or AzureSQL/NoSQL databasesGreat familiarity with:Gitpytest or other testing frameworksDockerShell scriptingExcellent knowledge of the English language (both verbal and written).Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.Team player, self-motivated, and constantly seeking new knowledge.Preferred SkillsFamiliarity with microservices architecture.Experience or interest in DevOps (e.g., Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub Actions).Experience with monitoring and logging tools.Knowledge of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.Understanding of security best practices in backend development.BenefitsAt EXUS we help our people to achieve excellent results by creating a work environment that encourages individual and team success.
