Senior Backend Engineer

Our client is a pioneering energy company headquartered in Barcelona, Spain, committed to advancing the energy transition with innovative solutions in energy storage. They specialize in IT solutions, including hardware and software for energy storage systems, integrated into a cloud infrastructure for remote control, monitoring, and analytics.
Currently our client is looking for a senior back-end engineer with extensive knowledge and expertise in creating, maintaining, testing, and debugging APIs for an application or system. That includes the core application logic, databases, data, and application integration, and other behind-the-scenes processes.
Responsibilities Develop and maintain API features.Identify and address project risks and improvements.Stay current with relevant technologies.Adhere to planning meeting efforts and deadlines.Update team documentation (API standards, internal and partner API interfaces).Ensure services are operational across all environments, especially production.Maintain infrastructure and resources, proactively resolving issues.As an expert in API, you will develop and provide the required onboarding to the new team members.RequirementsUniversity degree in Computer Science or equivalent.Advanced English proficiency, both spoken & written.3-5 years of API experience.Expertise in Typescript & NodeJS.Experience with AWS Cloud and AWS Lambda-based APIs.Proficiency in relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.Clean code and object-oriented programming skills (OOP).Familiarity with Git and code documentation.Team management experience is a plus.Knowledge of python is a plus.3 days in the office and 2 days from home (Monday and Tuesday are mandatory to be on site).Everyday fresh fruits, coffee, tea, sandwiches, Greek yogurt, etc.Flexible Compensation Program: restaurant ticket and childcare service with Sodexo.
